We adopted our 5 month old lab puppy, Saffron, 2 days ago. Immediately she was very trusting, and got along very nicely with our whole family. She truly is a mellow yellow, very rarely whining or barking. She has a beautiful white coat, which was very nicely groomed when we got her, very silky and clean. She is a very fast learner, quickly responding to the simple commands taught to her at Sho-Me Labradors. She loves long walks, and running through our backyard during the day. The service was amazing at Sho-Me Labradors, Sandy was happy to answer any questions we had. We also got weekly emails with progress pictures of Saffron 1 month prior to adopting. Everyone in our neighborhood wants to know where we got our calm, gorgeous, English Cream Lab!

We adopted Duke 2 months ago. He was 16 months old and very well trained. I didn t want to potty train and all that goes along so Sandy and Brian had him ready to go when he was dropped off. Duke is by far the most amazing, loyal and kind dog I've been around. He keeps tabs on the kids and is very protective. He is very well socialized around other dogs and people. He has been such a blessing to our family and is a great companion for my kids. They thank me everyday for getting Duke, it's so great to hear from small kids. Duke just wants to please and love on us, we couldn't ask for more. Sho-Me Labs know what they are doing and it shows in their sweet dogs. Thx again to Sandy and Brian. You helped my family so much and couldn't be more thankful!! Much Love!!

We just got our fourth lab from Sandy. Freddie is a sweetheart and gets along well with our other lab, Tucker, also from Sandy. They play together, sleep together and really love each other. All of the dogs we have gotten from Sho Me Labs have been great companions for our kids and we love their personalities and disposition. I can't say enough good things about Sandy and Sho Me Labradors. She breeds the most beautiful, loving and obedient dogs. They are incredible companions and we have enjoyed every dog from her. They have enriched our lives and our children's lives. I would recommend Show Me Labradors to any family looking for a family dog.

Our young boy, King aged 9 months, was personally delivered to us by Sandy only 3 weeks ago. He has blended so well and so quickly into our family. His personality and temperament are just perfect. He is NOT a barker and doesn't chase the local squirrels or rabbits. We are constantly asked "where did your beautiful dog come from?". He really is good looking. Sandy was so kind and patient with the many questions and emails that we had prior to King coming to us. My husband had never owned a dog before and was reluctant, to say the least, to have one. However, within a few days of King's arrival my husband said" If I had known that a dog could be so sweet, mellow and well behaved we would have got one a long time ago". Sandy and King are miracle workers!

Hi Sandy, I wanted to give you a report on Frankie..........we have had him 19 days now. Initially he was very timid and a bit fearful of his new surroundings........ this lasted about 1 day. My 6 y.o. yellow lab Ruby greeted him with open arms and they seemed to work everything out after a couple of days. I began training him on his fence boundaries right away and the perimeter learning lasted 5 days. I allowed him to walk into a shock from the fence on day #6 and he immediately linked the shock to the fence perimeter work we had down previously. He has been a champion student...........he has learned the fence as well as my female did and much better than my previous 2 males. He is a smart, funny boy who hasn't quite grown into his body yet........a little clumsy but very playful. He is extremely happy. The relationship with my female has grown by leaps and bounds - they are already like 2 peas in a pod........always keeping an eye on the other. His crate training has been a plus - he isn't trusted to be on his own quite yet while we are away for several hours but we are working toward that goal for him. Thanks for everything. Jim Carney

We adopted Max from Sandys recent litter which were born on 11-11-16.  Max has captured our hearts. People have stopped me and asked who the breeder is...he is that beautiful. He truly is white as snow with such a happy personality. We thank you Sandy for selling us such a healthy, happy puppy.  Helen in Miami, FL

Mandy arrived in my home in September, 2015. From the very beginning she has been sweet, extremely easy to train and loves children and other dogs. Her disposition is so gentle that it is hard to discipline her on the rare occasion that she does something typical of any puppy. She has a beautiful white coat and black nose. Her eyes have a little bit of dark hair around them giving her a look that makes you want to give her the world. I have taught her all of the basic commands in a short amount of time and we are now working on complicated commands. Training her has been so fun that I am going to continue on to advanced training in specific areas. I live by myself, so Mandy is primarily a companion. That said, I do have a niece and nephew in addition to a lot of kids in the neighborhood that come over to visit. Mandy loves playing with other kids and she always rolls over and puts herself in a submissive position. She is the same way when she plays with other dogs and is very aware of following cues to ensure everyone is calm and submissive in the pack. She has also been fairly easy to housebreak and she already has full access to the house while I am away at work. I have had people approach me asking where I got Mandy. Everyone that sees her knows that there is something special about her coat, look and temperament. I went to a lot of other breeders when I was looking for a dog and I now understand the value of a Show Me Lab vs. some other options. I had a breeder tell me that there is nothing significantly different about the quality of an English Lab in association with the cost. That is absolutely not true in my experience. You get what you pay for with Sandy's dogs. Plus, Sandy is a huge help with questions. When I factor in her health, how easy she is to train and how long she will live, I think the price point is a bargain. I will absolutely be a repeat customer of Sho-Me Labradors and my family members have already commented on how they will go to Sandy for their next dog.

We have had Honey for 2 1/2 years. She was 5 months old when we picked her up. Best dog ever. Quite, obedient, smart, beautiful. Everyday someone asks where we got her and remarks how beautiful she is. However, a few people immediately say that is a Sho-Me Lab, you can just tell by looking at her!

Baxter (8 month old, black, male) arrived via air cargo on 3/31/10. He has been with us for about 9 days, and he is a great dog. His disposition is extremely gentle, and he is great inside the house. He has a great build and his coat is healthy. Baxter knows all basic commands, so we can build on his obedience now that he is home. His manners are very good and it is obvious that he has socialized with other dogs, children and adults.

Working with Sandy was great. We have a 6 month old baby and another dog, so we spent a lot of time talking about disposition. I work from home, so Baxter gets a lot of human interaction, but his crate training works out very well in all aspects of having him in our home.

We will certainly be repeat customers of Sho-Me Labradors (hopefully soon) and would recommend them to anyone seeking a great lab. We never saw Baxter prior to buying him (other than website photos), but I would not hesitate to do it again. This was a great experience in purchasing a perfect companion lab.

My wife and I are available at any time for comments on our experience.

Where do I begin about the story of Skip originally known as Sherbet? I came to visit Sandy and her Labradors after recommendations from numerous people and friends. We had recently lost our golden who passed away suddenly from cancer. Our other golden was so lost as was my husband, that we decided to find a best friend for her. I was looking for an older dog, around 1 year old or so. My daughter and I came out, and we were introduced to Sherbet. My husband owns a boat, and he needed another boat dog. So after looking at him for 10 seconds I knew in his eyes this was the one. He stayed with Sandy for a month until we surprised my husband with him. When he first came to us, he was very frightened and anxious. I know now, that his world had changed so much, that it was so difficult for him to understand. After the first week, I called Sandy and said I didn't think he would work for us. He seemed so afraid and seemed so unhappy, and had trouble adjusting to indoor life. Sandy reassured me over and over to just give him time!!!! She reassured me over and over what a great dog he was, and he just needed to adjust to our lifestyle. She gave me numerous tips as to how to correct some of his behaviors without scaring him even more. Oh, my goodness, what a difference a few weeks made. We have now had him almost 6 months. He has won the hearts of our whole family, and everyone he meets. He is a special soul with the kindest heart. He never meets a stranger and has never disliked another dog. He just couldn't at first figure out what a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel was as we own two of those also. Now they are all best friends. Sandy has amazing, loving and beautiful dogs. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a loving and VERY LOYAL pet. And beautiful to boot!!! We are very blessed to have the Skipper in our lives and yes he is a boat lover!!!! Thank you Sandy for all your patience with my phone calls.....There is not a day that goes by that I don't thank you for this wonderful dog.

Sho-Me Labradors' young adult program is terrific! After a lot of research -- much of it online -- it was impossible to find a program like it.

Throughout the selection process Sandy was extremely knowledgable about the breed and the personalities of her available young adults. She listened and understood exactly what type of dog would work for me and she made the perfect recommendation.

The training program she has designed is perfect for an owner who wants a young dog but is not able to make the commitment required to train a baby puppy. All of the basics -- houesbreaking, simple commands, polite behavior around people and respect for furniture, etc. -- are covered. Bogart must have gotten perfect grades because he is so good!

Bogart traveled by air from St Louis. He arrived on time with all of his paperwork in order and in good spirits and good health.

He is going through the normal adjustment period (moving from the bucolic midwest to the concrete jungle is hard on the best of us!). Every day he gets more comfortable. Sandy has been very helpful -- coaching throughout these early days.

Bogart has already become a great companion and a lovely addition. I know we both look forward to a long life together.

Sho-Me Labradors is a great find!

I had spoke to Sandy for well over a month. I was wanting a well behaved male labrador. Sandy covered everything that I expressed. I asked many questions that she was able to answer to guide me in my decision. So... from Missouri to sunny florida came my new four legged friend -Mallard. He is a handsome black lab with the best disposition ever. Talk about smart. He obeys commands and loves praise. He is so good that he turns heads. I am extremely happy for Sandy and her sons Brian & Steve for their training and love of dogs. It was Mallard's 2 yr. birthday yesterday and had a vet visit. (Flying colors)! We are a perfect match.

We first met Sandy and Sho-Me Labradors in 1999, when we bought our first Lab, Shasta. A daughter of Kelly and Bubba Chuck, Shasta was the perfect dog! We took her everywhere. Camping, canoeing, hiking, swimming, school visits - she did it all! She grew up with our daughter and was her best friend, playmate and protector. She was more than a pet; she was a family member. Needless to say, we were devastated when Shasta passed away in September 2009. She left a huge void in our lives. After several Lab lonely months, we visited the Sho-Me Labs web site, and there we saw Randy, a son of Bubba Chuck. We called Sandy and in December 2009 brought home Jazmine, a daughter of Randy and Lily, and a full cousin to our first dog. Jazmine is beautiful, playful, loving and sweet, and has her own wonderful personality. Thank you, Sandy, for giving us our second perfect dog! Sheri, Joe and Danielle Beirne

We are so glad to say our second Sho-Me Lab (Muffin) is now home with us. It has only been 48 hrs but what an absolute blessing she is.

She has been so well trained, our walks have been terrific, she is just a joy in our home and she is all about her tennis balls....inside and outside. What a good retriever she is.

We are having a great time settling in together and it's been very easy. She continues to explore, make friends with the neighbors and just enjoy her new home.

Thanks Sandy and sons for the continued legacy of the finest Labs. Your Lab owners are a very fortunate group.

Thanks again for all your love and dedication to this wonderful breed.

You have blessed our lives....twice.

Hey Sandy....well, Muffin has been home with us for four days now and boy is it a pleasure. She is 1 yr old today and what a great day we've had. Muffin adjusted in about 48 hrs to her new home and street. It's as though she has always been with us.

I get choked up every time I watch her cross over Cassie's garden spot. We missed the unconditional love the three months following Cass...but Muffin has given that back and we feel so privileged once again to have our second Sho-Me girl.

Thanks again for your wonderful dedication to your Labs and also to the work your sons do training and helping care for them.

Sho-Me Labs are the best and your families commitment has provided a proud legacy for your honored owners.

Thanks so very much as we consider bringing another older gal in with us.

You all are the best !!!

We first met Sandy in 2000. Shortly after our meeting we adopted a yellow lab puppy, we named Grendl. She was the daughter of Honey Mustard & Bubba-chuck. Sadly, she had to be put down Oct. 20th, 2011. Grendl was 11 1/2 years old & she grew up with our kids, who are now 20 & 14 yrs old. Our family is crushed & we miss her so much, it hurts. Grendl was a sensitive & ' emotional' dog with a heart & soul of gold. I'm so happy we met Sandy and her labs! I'm pretty sure that come this spring our family will head out to St. James to pick out a new sweet baby lab to love. Thanks Sho-Me labs for being responsible, caring breeders who love their labs as much as we do! The Coleman Family, Chesterfield, Mo.

August 2013 We brought Max, as our Grand-daughter named him, home just a month ago. He has been one of the calmest and the easiest dogs we have ever had. He bonded with my husband immediately , and has followed him everywhere since the day we picked him up. Max is quite a character! He loves to look out of the windows and sit by the fence in the yard and "people watch". He is a fast learner, will sit on command, run after a ball, and let you know when he has to go out. Max is a true delight! He makes us smile and laugh, and seems to never miss when we need a little more attention! We would recommend these dogs to anyone who is looking for a wonderful and gentle friend.

On Friday January 17th 2014 we picked up our new Sho-Me Lab at the airport. it was love at first sight !! His name is Mo and he is the center of our family. Mo is now about 7 months old and is the most clam and relaxed dog we've ever had. he came to us crate trained, house trained, and very well mannered on the leash. I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical about purchasing a dog online but after working with Sandy I knew all would be good.... As it turned out, it was better than good, this had to be one of the easiest and most fulfilling transactions I have ever made! I would (and have) recommended Sandy and her Sho-Me labs to any who's interested in a great companion. we are currently working on furthering his education and potentially sharing his new skills as a therapy dog! Thank You Sandy...We love our Mo!

We just picked up our new Lab pup from Sandy this weekend. Captain is an absolute delight. After doing extensive research and web surfing we were confident that Sho-Me Labs would provide us with a quality family pet. Sandy sent us info and photo's of Captain and we were hooked. We visited the kennel over Labor Day Weekend and it was exactly as advertised. We decided to take advantage of the extra training Sandy offers and we are glad we did. Captain has the basics down, is house-broken, is well socialized and has a great temperment . It was well worth the 16 hour round trip from Alabama to get such a good dog. I highly recommend Sho-Me Labs.

Our first dog, a mixed breed, whom we had for 8 years, bit our 3 year old daughter in the face. We were devastated and had to give her to childless friends (she has a happy life now). when it was time to get a new dog, we had a 5 year and a 3 year old and wanted a real family dog. We heard about Sho-Me labs thru our painter in NC and he brought his majestic lab over to meet us. Another complication is we knew we would be moving back to NYC shortly after getting the puppy. Sandy assured us that the pup would adjust well. chuckles arrived by air freight at 8 weeks old and after only 2 nights, began sleeping thru. He is the best dog I've ever known. His personality is the sweetest, he's incredibly loving and protective with my kids. They play with him very roughly and he loves it! He's very submissive and loving towards everyone. Everyone comments on his amazing, sweet temperment and wants to know where we got him. He's just the best and has become a wonderful member of our family. He loves NYC and is so social and playful with other dogs. I can't say enough about how awesome he is! Sandy knows her stuff and we are so grateful to have heard of her wonderful dogs.

I love Sho-Me-Labradors! My husband and I had wanted a dog for our son since he was born, however, with both of us working full-time that didn't allow for us to easily get an 8 week old pup. When my son turned 5 I really started to focus on getting him a dog. I emailed breeders all over the country looking for a trained, older lab puppy. I was delighted to find Sandy! She was exactly what I was looking for in a breeder. When Sandy contacted me she had 6 yellow gorgeous female lab older pups ranging from 8 mons to 11 month girls. She sent me pictures and I fell in love with them all. We live in NY so flying out to MO to select our puppy wasn?t an option for us. We told Sandy what we were looking for and she matched us up with Macy, an 8  month old. Sandy picked the nicest dog for us! She is trained, has a wonderful temperament, and calm. Honestly I can't tell you how how happy we are with Macy. She is the easiest puppy I have ever had. I come from a family of animal lovers, always had 2 dogs growing up. We could not have gotten a nicer dog if we had picked her ourselves. Macy is the calmest, friendliest, sweetest dog I have ever met! She is a total love! She turns heads when we have her out as she is so beautiful. She loves everyone! If I had known Sho-Me-Labs had existed, my son would have had his dog years earlier. Sho-Me-Labs makes getting a dog/pup so easy!! My son hasn't stopped smiling since Macy flew into NYC and arrived home to our house, 1 hr. north on his 2nd day of kindergarten. He loves her so much. Macy bonded immediately with our family. I love Sho-Me-Labs and would definitely go back for another dog. Macy gets compliments where ever she goes! Sandy is honest, trustworthy and reliable. We are beyond happy with our dog! Macy is a dream come true. She is the perfect dog. We could not have picked a better puppy if we had flown out to MO ourselves. Thank you Sandy & Sho-Me-Labs for our lovely Macy!! You have made our family complete with our Macy!

Our rescue Lab NOLA passed away after a battle with heart worms. It was such a loss to my wife and I due to the fact that she loved our camp, the water and boat riding. We only had her 2 years but it was a great 2 years. We went 7 months heart broken vowing not to get another dog because it hurt so much to loose her. I kept looking around and you could almost feel NOLA around the house, I started my search for another dog. After a few months of looking I found Sandy's web site. I told her what I was looking for and she told me your in luck I have SOPHIE. SOPHIE has been a great addition to our family and she loves us very much. I can not say enough about Sandy and her team they are great folks to work with and answered all of my questions. SOPHIE thinks she made a good choice also. Thanks so much for a great dog.

We purchased our beautiful girl Mojo from Sho-Me Labradors in January 2013! She is a beautiful, smart, well tempered dog. Mojo allows our children to pick her up, wake her up, move her around, lay on her, and love her without a nip or a growl. She is energetic and loves our daily runs and evening walks. Sandy was easy to work with and we were well prepared with the booklet of information that came with Mojo when she got off her flight in Raleigh NC. Our Missouri Labrador has been everything we prayed for! I wish we could attach photos here to show how white she is with a block head and wide chest. Thank you again Sandy, we'll keep you posted on Mojo's progress.

I stumbled on my Sho-Me Lab about 17years ago. He had been purchased by a family that decided they needed to rehome him. He was 6mo old at the time. We could not turn down that beautiful yellow lab. We took him down to Sandy's place and just by looking at him told me his parentage and when I checked his papers she was spot on. Cody (out of Shiner and Giggles) was a great family pet...he went everywhere with us and loved the children. He went to work with me and had a special spot in the office to hang out. He would patiently sit in the back seat of the car going through the bank drive through waiting for the dog treat the teller would send out for him. He went trail riding and always stayed right with the horses. He was with us for 14 and 1/2 years. It was with a very heavy heart that he had to be put to sleep shortly after his 15th birthday. He was a healthy happy dog all those years and brought such joy to our lives. It has been two years since we lost him and I still miss him terribly. Sandy breeds the best labs.

On Presidents weekend 2005 we brought our male yellow lab puppy home. His parents were Denny & Faith. I just want to say that anyone considering buying a lab from Sandy to do so. Everyone wants to bring home a lab puppy, but you have the adult dog for years. Harry is truely part of our family and is the best dog I have ever owned. He was eager to please us as a puppy and easy to train. I would do this over again in a heartbeat. So if you want a dog that will be in your heart forever see what Sho-Me Labs has to offer, you will not be disappointed.

My husband and I have two Sho-Me labs, Snoopie (age 2), and Tyson (7 months). Our experience with Sandy and our labs has been wonderful. Sandy was very informative and helpful when we brought Snoopie home in 2010, and again just a few weeks ago when we bought Tyson. Since we live on the east coast and weren't able to meet the puppies in person before purchasing them, we told her exactly the kind of temperament we were looking for and she picked the perfect dogs for us. The process to pick them up from the airport was smooth and simple, and both dogs adjusted to our home quickly. Snoopie and Tyson are very intelligent and mellow, and both came so well trained and housebroken. We get compliments everywhere we go on what beautiful and well-behaved dogs we have. Thank you, Sandy, and Sho-Me Labs!

In May of 2012 I picked up my 2 year old, trained Labrador from Sho-Me Labradors at the airport. I can't begin to tell you how absolutely delighted I am. After a stressful day of being on a plane, he was met by 2 strangers, a car he'd never been in and a home he'd never seen. His reaction was a few kisses and he made himself at home. He has a very even temperament, his disposition is calm, his nature is very loving and he follows his commands of sit, heal, come and stay. He listens well, is attentive and already very loyal. Sandy Kozlowski isn't just a breeder and seller, she loves her dogs and wants both the dog and the new owner to be happy. She answered all of my questions, sent wonderful information so I can be on the same page as the dog. I have already recommended her to a friend looking for an English Lab. Sandy, herself seems more like a friend to me, everything she told me was completely true. The only thing I can say is thank you, Sandy, for this "sweet" dog that has made my life good again. Sincerely, Judy

Scout is the best dog in all of New York! If you live in a city, ask Sandy for a dog with a similar personality. Within 48 hours of arriving in the city, he adjusted perfectly and nothing - not sirens or jackhammers - seem to bother him at all. We have only had him for a week and a half but we are already completely in love. Sandy said that he was an amazing dog, but we had no idea how amazing until we had him for a few days. He arrived perfectly house and crate trained. More importantly for a city dog, he is perfectly socialized and loves all people (including children) and dogs (on and off leash) and he is not agressive or too submissive. We are so proud of Scout because we constantly get compliments from many of the other dog owners in our building about his good behavior (I don't even have to ask him to sit in the elevator when other people or dogs are present- he does it on his own!) Scout has great manners - and we were amazed when we first sat down to dinner and realized that he was trained to lay down on his bed while we eat! Also, he was trained not to sit or jump on furniture. I could go on and on about how wonderful his behavior is (he has been trained not to jump on people, does not "mouth" like so many other labs, walks perfectly on a leash) and how he is incredibly friendly to everyone who visits our home. Can you imagine a lab who welcomes many strangers into his home for a lunch and does not try to take any of the food from the coffee table and falls asleep at my feet after he has finished greeting everyone? I had no idea that such a well behaved lab existed until I met Scout. For me, a real bonus is that he is extremely loving, follows me around wherever I go and gives me tons of kisses. Thank you, Sandy and your sons, for such a wonderful companion and family member. My husband and I could not be happier.

We "adopted" a beautiful male chocolate lab from Sho - Me just shy of 13 years ago. We named him Granger. After almost 13 years of a very healthy life, Granger needed to be put down a few days ago. My wife and I were and still are devastated. He was our "first born" and was the gentlest sole you would ever want to be around. Loved children, people and other dogs and never showed any signs of aggression in the years that he was with us.

My wife and I had a little girl back in 2008. Granger was 11 at the time. We were certainly a little concerned about bringing home our newborn daughter and how Grange would adapt. To our delight, he loved our daughter and she loved him right back. For the rest of his life, he watched over her and protected her. Whenever our daughter would cry, he would howl and go in to make sure everything was alright. Granger was our daughters "toy". She would try and ride him, pull his tail / whiskers, get in the kiddie pool with her and never showed any aggression at all to our daughter.

I think this is a testament not only to labs, but to the breeder. We could not have had a kinder, gentler dog than Granger. Additionally, even up until the time he passed, he grayed in just his muzzle, but still kept his beautiful chocolate coat.

Sho Me labs is the place to "adopt" your loved lab.

We write this testimonial in Granger's honor.

We bought our first Sho-Me Lab Christmas 1998. Sandy actually had an add in the paper. My husband was a man on a mission to find us another lab as we had to put one down because of hip displagia. We brought home Bubba, (Shiner and Ellie). What an experience walking into the puppy area! Sandy was wonderful and we wanted to buy them all. Almost two years later, we came home with Max, who was 11 weeks old. He came to live with us after my son had stopped by on his way home from Rolla. We did not think we would ever have two labs. Bubba is 11 1/2 yrs old now and moving alittle slow, but shows us his old sweet self periodically. Max was such a goof in his young age and I will always remember him chewing off the side of the house at a window. He is 10yrs old and does not like it when when young puppies are in the house and tolerates our cat. We have another Sho-Me lab in the family. My son purchased one of the older dogs in 2008. Buddy has such a cute face it is very hard to yell at him when he has been misbehaving. Buddy is sweet and loveable and like all of Sandy's dogs will sit forever and let you pet them. Thank you Sandy for raising the best dogs ever!! Our lives have been touched in a very special way. Sho-Me labs have a secure place in the hearts of the Phillips family. I am so happy you now have a website so I can express how lucky we feel to find Sandy and her wonderful labs. In 2003 we brought the lab that was waiting for us home...she was 8 months old and Sandy said she was one of the sweetest black labs they have had. She is 7 now...her name is Fannie, and she is the greatest joy. Smart, sweet, and so affectionate. We take her everywhere because she loves people, even the mailman, and everyone always says how beautiful she is...her beautiful black coat and her sweet face. She has never been ill and is still going strong. We love her so much! Thank you Sandy and to everyone who cared for our Fannie before she came home.

I have had three amazing Sho Me Labs. Eight months ago, I had a put down my best buddy of 13 years. I was absolutely devastated. I decided to contact Sandy to see if she had another buddy for me - one that was a little older. I ended up with two! I am so happy that I did. Marley and Lucy are the best. Sandy's dogs are of excellence. You can't find a higher quality of labs anywhere. Thank you!

My mnother and I went to look at Sandy's lab puppies when she would bring them to Sunset Hills to sell the pups at her grandmothers house. We knew nothing about Labs and bought a female pup from her Shamrock Acres line in 1988. We loved Shammie until she had to be but down at 11. Five years ago my brother brought us a week old prue breed chocolate lab. His best friends dog had a litter of pups and the mother dog died from the heat. We raised the pup and love her dearly. However, we have spent 5000 dollars on leg problems at the speciallty vet clinic. This is an example how important it is to have good breeders like Sandy to do all of the leg exrays and other tests. We really loved Shammie too. Never had one health problem.

Sandy, Wow! It was about 20 years ago we got our first lab from you - he was a chocolate and we called him Buster as in Buster Brown. He grew up with our 2 year old daughter and was the best. About 8 years later we got another chocolate from you - Hershy - for our daughter. Another good guy! He and Buster played until buster had to leave us when he was 13 1/2 years old. Then came our latest addition, Joey - he was about 6 - 7 months old when we got him - he was part of the "Friends" litter. To make sure I wasn't looking for another Buster we got him - a yellow lab and his personality is superb. He makes me laugh each day and brings so much to our family. Hershy was able to be part of our family for 11 years and we just said good bye to him recently. He was out daughter's pup and she and he loved each other very much. The first time we met you all those years ago you told us you bred for termperment and personality and we can truly say that you do a great job -- they all have been wonderful dogs!

I just have to say I am ruined to ever owning another pet that isn't trained. Sandy has done very well with her dogs. I saw Vegas online spring of 2011 and I never believed in love at first site until that day. I showed my husband and our family went to "look" at the dogs. He fell in love with Vegas as well and we took her home. She has fit so well with our family. It was nice avoiding the puppy stage and housebreaking stage. She is smart and learns fast.  I was very surprised to see that she is very protective of her home and family. I am glad of that even though my oldest is 18 it is still nice to know if I am not home she is watching over our home and/or children. She is the perfect dog for us and everyday I am so thankful we were blessed to have found her. I have had many dogs in my lifetime but Vegas is by far my favorite. If your looking for more than just a dog you have come to the right place.

Thanks show- me labs for being responsible, caring breeders who love their labs as much as we do! The Coleman Family Chesterfield, Mo.

I have been meaning to write a testimonial for 2 years now and keep forgetting. We got Bailey 2 years ago. My family had never owned a dog before I had a 3 year old girl and a 4 year old boy who had never been around dogs and my wife is a cat person. Now I am not sure if it is common for Show Me Labs or if we just got extremely lucky. But Bailey is the smartest, warmest, and just best companion a dog owner could ever want. We got her when she was nine weeks old and she has had 2 accidents in our house as a puppy both times she had an upset stomach, not her fault. SHe has always been wonderful with my children, and my wife the cat person fell in love with her the first time she laid eyes on her. It took me a while to convince my wife that our family needed a dog, but we are grateful every day for the family member that we recieved from Show Me labs, we are constantly looking at the puppies online and actually contemplating purchasing another one of Gary's puppies to give bailey a sister to play with. In closing thank you very much the Holder's

Thanks, Sandy, for providing our family with another wonderful Sho-Me Lab! In August, we brought home Cheyenne, a black female puppy, as a buddy to our 2-year-old yellow Sho-Me Lab, Jazmine. The two have become great friends and are nearly inseperable. They are both beautiful and sweet. They have brought much joy and laughter to our home with their playful antics. We love them dearly! Thanks, again. Sheri, Joe and Danielle Beirne.

Hi Sandy-

Sorry we have waited so long to share our Sho-me Labs story.

It began in the spring of 2000 when we visited you and chose our dear Cassie puppy (Shiner and Kelly). Absolutely the most beautiful and tender hearted female yellow (almost white) lab. From 8 weeks of age Cassie stole our hearts with her love, loyalty and great spirit. She thoroughly lit up around visitors and neighbors (politely). She was athletic and so so loyal...loved her three walks a day..rain,shine, snow. It mattered not and her shiny thick coat glistened wet or dry, and we loved that time with her. I miss her afternoon naps in my home office.

As you know, 2/13/10 was a difficult day for us as we had to let go of our sweet girl....though her spirit consumes our gardens and home. She quietly rests in one of her favorite garden spots surrounded by the birds and squirrels she loved to watch and chase.

You are the consumate professional !!! You have a great family of Sho-Me owners who applaud and support your effort to breed the finest labs anywhere. Thanks as well for your ongoing support and advise when transition has been necessary to a new generation of a Sho-Me pup.

We are proud to be bringing "Muffin" (our second Sho-Me yellow female) into our home in a few days. We are happy to have one of your older puppies....the fit is terrific for us now.

We are excited about bringing our new girl home to join Cassie's memory and feel privileged as can be to continue the memory and legacy of Sho-Me Labs in the McCluskey home.

Thanks so much for the love and commitment you, and your sons, have given your proud owners through the finest... Sho-Me Labradors.

Thanks again !!

As time has gone by, I had to add to my previous testimonial. Hoover, my white lab from 2008 is the absolute best. We got him for company for my 10 year old lab. Unfortunately, we lost him in Feb of this year @ age 11.5. We are tossing around getting Hoover a playmate & I think it will happen. Labs are our life & Sandy has the best....

UPDATE:  The Scheidts has added "Lonnie" now known as "Logan" to their family.  Hoover & Logan are in love with each other!!!

I remember going to Sho-Me labs 15 year ago to pick up my puppy, Chloe (Faith and Shiner). It was one of the best experiences of my life not only because my parents gave me a beautiful yellow lab for my 9th birthday but also seeing Sandy's gorgeous labs playing in the big lake. I remember walking out on the deck, and she was able to identify each and every lab, called them by name, and they looked up at us with the friendliest face and tail wagging. My sweet Chloe is still here with us, very much a senior dog, but she still has spirit which seems to keep her going. I know her days are limited now, and I know once she is gone it will be my turn to keep the Sho-Me Lab title going with a puppy of my own. Sho-Me Labs is the premiere Labrador Retriever Breeder in the Mid-West!

Sandy,

Thank you so much for our beautiful Labradors. Winston and Shelby are both sired by Gary and they have wonderful, calm temperments. Winston will begin his training to become a therapy dog in the next six to twelve months. The organization that tested him says he has the perfect temperment. He was chosen for that purpose, you really know your puppies. All of these dogs are so well mannered and fun. They are so good with the kids and other pets.

My sister loves her Gunther, sired by Randy, and my friend's Bella, sired by Drake is passing thru her training at Petropolis with flying colors. They say she's one of the best suited dogs for a service dog, and she is extremely intelligent. Her family is also pleased. We will be lifetime clients.

I have also tried the recommended Life's Abundance diet. Their coats are gorgeous and eyes are bright when they eat this food. I plan to keep them on that as well.

We just keep getting compliments from everyone who meets them. I'm glad I asked my vet for the recommedation, they spoke very highly about your breeding program.

Sandy,

We had looked for a long time to find a Lab that was a good fit for our family. We wanted a Lab that was house trained and through the puppy stage. We have had Calvin for almost a week now and could not be more thrilled. He is a true compliment to the breed and you.
He is very well mannered and listens very well. He is not hyper or jumpy, but loves to play.

He walks with us like a gentlemen on his leash and is very good with our children.

We could not have found a more perfect match and we thank you !

Will send pictures soon.

We adopted our chocolate, Broc, in August of 08'. Besides being absolutely gorgeous,he is the love of our lives. My husband and I have not had luck with our past two dogs due to aggressive behaviors, and Broc has just wiped out all our worries. Others actually bring their dogs to us for socialization. His disposition and love of life is just beyond words. I am an avid runner, and he is my number one partner. :) He retrieves my shoes and the leash.
I have been asked eight times if my lab is a "Sho-Me Lab" and I proudly smile and say absolutely. We cannot thank you enough for such a wonderful addition to our family. We look forward to number two. :)

We adopted Bernard "Bernie" just last week. Sandy helped us narrow it down to him since his personality seemed to fit our laid back lifestyle perfectly. Well, turns out, we couldn't be happier! He is the best puppy and best friend for our family. He was one of the "Trained Young Adults". His training is impecable and he is a well-mannered young man, just like Sandy said he would be! We adore him and my young children can't get enough of him. Thank you for this beautiful addition to our family!!! He will have a loving and nuturing long life.

We bought a little yellow lab puppy at around 8 weeks of age and she has been such a joy!! She is such a great addition to our family. Her temperment is great, she is definately a puppy, but she is very mild mannered. She is smart too! At 10 weeks she already knows her name, sits on command, and is well on her way to being house broken. My husband's brother and his wife also bought a puppy from the same litter. It is so much fun watching them play and learn from each other. Sho-Me Labs was highly recommended to us from multiple families and friends that have owned one of their labs. We could not be happier!!

Getting a dog was a three year process for us. Waiting for our kids to be the right age, and finding the right animal was a big project. Once we decided on a lab puppy, the project got a lot easier. Sho-Me Labs is larger than a back yard breeder, yet still small enough to care about every litter as if it was their own pet. I thought for a long time that with the right training, you can make any dog an ideal pet. I realize now that if you start with a first class purebred animal, life get's much easier. Our 7 week old puppy Lucy is drop dead gorgeous, and is well on her way to crate training and potty training in the first week. She is the center of attention and plays well with all of her dog cousins in our family. Sandy was great to work with and we will always be thankful for the love and care she put into the newest member of our family. (I wanted to name our puppy Sandy)

We have been fortunate to have owned 3 Sho Me Labradors. Our first, a black female named Jazz. She was the first lab that my husband had ever owned, and as a result, has has become a lab owner for life. Jazz was our best friend and loved our 2 girls, Rachel and Sarah. She lived a very full 14 years. Our second Sho Me Lab was a yellow female named Molly. Although she was only with us for 4 1/2 short years, Molly was known throughout our neighborhood and loved by all that met her. She had a unique way of making friends and everyone loved her as much as we did. Our current Sho Me lab is a back female, Maggie. She is now 10 months old and truly the best of both of our previous dogs. She has quickly learned obedience and has the run of the house, without any major problems.
We are looking forward to many years of enjoyment and love with her.
Anoyone that has the ability to own a Sho Me Labrador will have a great companion to share their lives with, thank you Sandy!

We got our first lab in 1998 from Sho-Me and named him Jeger. He was the most adorable puppy and grew into the most strikingly beautiful adult. His intelligence, loyalty and sweet nature made him the greatest dog we will ever have. Jeger was more than what we could have ever wished for. Sandy's dogs are the absolute best and you can tell the love she puts into her business by the quality and lovable dogs she breeds. We have kenneled our dogs at Sho-Me when we go away and they always come back to us healthy and tired out from all the fun they had on their "dog vacation!" Jeger was an incredible swimmer and spent every summer swimming and chasing pelicans in the Gulf of Mexico. If he saw or smelled water, his face would longingly look at us as if to say, "Don't we have time for a quick swim?" (We had a lot of detours during road trips because you could just not say no to that adorable face!) When our daughter was born in 2003, Jeger fell in love with his new "sister." He would sleep right next to her crib and protect her every night. As she grew older, he ended up at the foot of her bed. They were best friends and shared a very special relationship. His gentle loving nature made him the kid's favorite when friends came over. Because of this, he did have to endure getting dressed up once in a while, but was always a great sport! We lost our beloved Jeger this past summer from old age. He lived a great life and gave us 11 years of "lab" love - the best love there is! We miss him deeply and are not ready to get another dog yet, but when we do, the only place we would ever think of going would be Sho-Me. Thanks Sandy for breeding the best dogs there ever could be!

Dear Sho-Me Labs,

We have had our pup Louie for about 2 and a half months now and he could not be more adorable. He has a great demeanor and temperment which is all a credit to Sandy and her pups at Sho-Me.

My wife and I could not think of a better breeder to recommend than Sho-Me Labs.

The only problem is, I think Louie needs a brother!

Thanks so much!
